Beefy treat is what ive just prepared...

Today ive spent the day at my dads in the butchery selecting cuts for my birthday bbq, its something i do every year ive prepared 'dino ribs' the huge beef ribs that ill smoke on sunday with bourbon

barrel wood for the family bbq.

Do you have any yearly traditions that you do in prep for a special day?

Mate those ribs sound amazing how long do you cook em for?

Wirral

I have loads of traditions, but mostly around Christmas rather than birthdays.

The only tradition around birthdays is that we all get together for my cousin's birthday on boxing day, and my aunty makes us chip butties and giant mugs of tea, which really hits the spot after the rich Christmas day food.

Sounds ace I'll come on wheels

We don't really have any traditions, other than on Christmas morning, Mr KC insists on being downstairs before kids and only then can they go downstairs and see the tree etc. Only 1 tree present allowed before breakfast....

For Halloween we always make Boston baked beans to have with hot dogs, (but bratwurst rather than frankfurters), corn on the cob, and homemade parkin for pudding.

La la land

We have a few but my favourite is new year's Day. The kids sing for their callenig (a good luck song and you get money for giving the luck). Then my family all in all in excess of 13 of us go for a massive walk and then back to my house for some food that's been cooking in the cooker for hours on end. It's proper lovely
