It's completely random. I rarely respond to messages, only mainly when I'm bored or have a day off. If it's someone I've actively engaged myself or forum based I'll make the effort then.

As far as I am concerned it makes no difference - I read all of my messages and I do not receive so many that I could not cope with the volume.

I send messages myself to people but do not always get a reply or sometimes I am blocked and the message deleted - but I do not worry about the time of day when I write because I do not see any significance in that. Just my two cents.
