Today i learned there is a loop hole that means you can break the 175 comment barrier, extra long forum thread titles mess up the screen configuration and what a spinner girl is.
So how many times can you nudge your own thread with out breaking forum rules? |

I find it embarrassing when people bump their own threads. That wookie dude used to do it to all his threads and I used to think it as a bit sad.
I’ve had threads that I’ve loved to have had answers on but I’ve had to watch them drop off the page and die a death with not even one response! |

Often wondered how they post after it fills up. It's a kind of magic |

I don't count but I have bumped before for the evening crowd or similar. Sometimes I also don't reply to all at one fab visit so might be seen as bumping. Is there an etiquette when it comes to that? I think it's just feeling the moment what might work? |

Possibly no limit. Could be seen as a problem if you are bumping like 10+ of your own threads (or even someone else's threads) at once and constantly.
If I start a thread and then go off to do something else. When I come back and there are new posts on it but it's dropped down I'll post replies on it.
Sometimes if it's dropped off the page with 0 posts I might bump it later in the day. |

Usually bumping has a gap limit (etiquette not rule) so like 12 hours or 24 etc.
And preferably don't bump a dead horse. Once or twice fine. After that, especially with zero interest, and it's an irritant to see a thread bump to the top.
Bumping a hot topic that got lost (though the 175 limit avoids this usually) is fine with the above "rules" in place. |
