Its not part of what they are looking for. Its not their fault. Its like complaining that the MOT assessor isnt aware that the car is used for dogging.

It's going to difficult, seeing the numbers of children being sent nudes etc. Part of me dreads my kids having phones as it opens this world up to them. I'm resisting but many in my eldest class have them at primary school age. I don't know what the solution will be. |

It's going to difficult, seeing the numbers of children being sent nudes etc. Part of me dreads my kids having phones as it opens this world up to them. I'm resisting but many in my eldest class have them at primary school age. I don't know what the solution will be. "
There’s some good parental controls on the phones now. My youngest needs my password for most things! I have it so nobody can call or message her other than her contacts, which are family and close school friends. Also have it time limited too so she can’t use it when she goes to bed. |

The vast majority of all abusers in all professions. Why are you complaining about women not getting in trouble when men are committing far more acts of abuse? Surely that is the biggest concern.
What irks me is when the tabloids report on those rare incidents and the knobhead comments are always "Lucky boy!" and "Wish I had a teacher like like that". The inherent sexism and toxic masculinity of our culture presents men as natural sexual beings and is reluctant to view them as victims. It's so wrong. |

i worry about where all this is going. what happens years down the line to children that have suffered abuse.
do they become violent, addicted to drugs, homeless?
do we look out enough for our friends and neighbours. we all seem to have lost our way as a community |

Funding for education, youth services, social services, community policing and mental health have all been drastically cut.
There's a generation of children emerging who have had easy access to extreme porn and are lacking any understanding of healthy relationships.
Being a victim of abuse does not mean you will go on to be an abuser although it os often used to excuse violent males and pathologise traumatised women. |

One of my teachers was sentenced to 8 years for historic crimes. Two of the boys he abused one is a solicitor and one is an mp |

I think it’s fair to say the sexualisation of children, social media, anonymity within various parts of the internet (or ability to create anonymous / fake profiles etc), alongside various other societal pressures and the psychology of attraction for some adults, has just built upon the pandemic of these types of offences and they have been underreported for years. Shocking in terms of content, but many professionals have stated they are not surprised by the current state of play. Too much normalisation of things and children so young being able to access things they really shouldn’t. I recoil in horror at these kind of reports. |

I swear all these TikTok challenges are just ways to get kids doing provocative stuff on film. They look at the older most popular users and see skimpy clothing and twerking and all that and they just copy.

They do look at what is called safe guarding. Maybe she went to a particularly bad school. |
