When I was younger, I had a friend who had really REALLY small ears. He was - sadly - the subject of much humiliation and ridicule. (Not from me I hasten to add).
Of course, it’s a well known fact that as we get older, our ears continue to grow, even long after a everything else stops.
So while we “of age” all walk around with lug-holes that resemble wrinkly flaps of leather, my mate Eric is sporting perfectly sized hearing appendages.
Who’s laughing now ?

They where massive, looked an inch thick like gammon chops stuck to his head

You can grow your hair over them. Problem solved.
Just don’t wear a pony tail, otherwise you’ll look like an onion with ear flaps |

It's true and for some reason those ears traumatised that innocent little 5 or 6 year old boy
