This is not a copy and paste message

Jump to: Newest in thread

I recently received a message from a guy which certainly did read like it could well have been a copy and paste message that he sends to numerous ladies.

It was so generically written and could have applied to most ladies with single profiles.

At the bottom of the message was a line saying "this isn't a copy and paste message!"

How would I know that thought when there was absolutely nothing written that was personally addressed to me, or showed the person had read my profile.

Could this be the new Fab message phenomenon.

This isn't a copy and paste message!

shits creek

It was a copy n paste message trying to trick you into believing it wasn't.

I've had them before saying they ain't.... and at the start it said "hi both"

Both? Hmmm, he was either telling the truth and talking to my piss flaps or trying to hide the copy n pasteness. Both unattractive answers.

Definitely a copied and pasted message. Why make a point of saying its not. I get the same messages word for word from a lot of men. Must send it to thousands.

Hang on, I've had this message to 'both' of me. Does that mean someone is duplicating his messages. That's naughty!!

;)

The only tome where I write a simple message that can come across as a Copy and Paste is when a lady doesn’t have anything written on her profile or just a single sentence that doesn’t really give me much to work off.

I like to see something in her profile which describes what she is looking for, the type of person she can keep, her availability, likes & dislikes, etc

Without that, I will end up writing a message just to introduce myself with a face pic and leave it to the fab gods

Room 237 at The Overlook Hotel, Suffolk

I've had messages like that and been the longest messages I've managed to get out of them it generally then goes to only one or two word replies that's my experience anyway

Shangri-la

Yep, I had one telling me what a lovely profile I have & asking if I'd like to chat with a view to meeting.... Clearly hadn't read my profile (if he had it'd be obvious why his message screamed copy & paste)

Well, most people who just copy and paste messages are playing the numbers game.

The only thing you can do is either response sincerely or ignore it.

They're especially funny when they arrive a few weeks after exactly the same message saying it's not cut and paste

"this isn't a copy and paste message!" reminds me of the line for M&S food in a way... Or perhaps I'm just hungry!
