So it's Friday night, the bbq is on and it's burgers for dinner/tea.
What are you having on it, and in what order? Does the order matter?
Any sauce?
Cheese, tomato, fresh red onion, lettuce, mayo and some South Carolina style mustard on a toasted brioche for me tonight. |

No no no. Start again.
Sliders are what you want. Mini burgers and with home baked bread. We’ve made some amazing ones. |

"Bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, extra mature cheddar and some good burger relish, please.
And can I have my burger medium rare, ta. "
Can't be arsed cooking bacon, sorry. I've jalapeño ketchup or red onion jam. Will try my best with the pink burger |

I'm assuming veggie burgers are ok too - wholemeal bap, onions, sliced tomatoes, lettuce in that order. Followed by the patty (The Vegetarian Butcher - brand), cheese, ketchup and maybe mayo. Topped off with the top half of the bap.
I've just cum. Twice |

"I'm afraid you're ALL wrong.
Steak burger, bacon, red onion, cheese, tomato, lettuce, relish.
No bloody avocado, mayo or gooey sauce (unless it's JD's BBQ sauce).
X"
See above re bacon and relish. No JD's but I have Red's unholy bbq sauce, it's really very good x |

I've kept half the grill for vegie food. I see you've gone lettuce under burger. Controversial choice. |

There are decent meat alternatives out there plus cows are sweet creatures. The idea of eating one doesn't appeal but don't let me stop you. I'm sure I couldn't anyway |

I dont like to over complicate, the secret to a good burger is quality & simplicity.
*Medium brioche bun lightly goasted
*hugh grierson organic Aberdeen angus beef steak -hand ground with salt pepper & a touch of garlic & crushed onion and blue cheese( only a light crumble)
*swiss cheese & pickle & relish to top

It's more a practical decision. Stacking those ingredients in that order makes for a more stable structure |

I'm sorry hunny. I have a lot of veggie friends, so I do understand. And in my own way I try by not eating meat every day. And free range when I do.
We all eat too meat nowadays x |

And your sausages, Grumpling. Don't forget the sausages - they're even better than the burger |

Just have a hotdog instead!
Onions that have been softening for ages in the bun first, ketchup, and a drizzle of chilli sauce (if you like it hot), with a proper big sausage instead of a Frankfurter on top to hold all the 'toppings' in place.
Nom! |

I'm yet to be convinced about blue cheese, but the rest sounds delicious. |

This is a girly debated topic. Notice pickle is barely mentioned.
What about making the actual burger? What do people put in with the mince? Worcestershire sauce? Crackers broken up? |

A nice soft bun, not a huge thick one, like a Warbies one. 5%fat beef burger, flattened before cooking. Cooked medium so a bit of pink in the middle. A slice of that cheap plastic cheese. Shredded lettuce, diced onion, burger sauce and plenty of gherkins. Basically a homemade big mac |
