My particular circumstances during the pandemic have meant that I no longer need to be awake or asleep at any specific times.
Left to its own devices, my brain now wakes me up around 4am, and sends me to sleep around 9pm.
There’s no external *reason* for this; it’s just something my body has unilaterally decided to do. I’ve come to accept that I am currently at my brightest and most energised around 5am.
Anyone else reading this in a similar boat? I think I know *one* other person who’s like this…

This time of year but I take siesta and go to bed around midnight. In winter I sleep till around 7am. Early mornings can be very productive and creative , I’ll often do a whole days work by 8 or 9am |

One of my cats likes to have breakfast around 5 and won’t take no for an answer.
I had gardening leave a few years back, abandoned the alarm clock and was looking forward to epic lie-ins, I just to find that I couldn’t sleep past about 6am. |
