All things considered I believe the postponed 2020 Olympic Games should be cancelled; bearing in mind the exceptionally low level of vaccination in Japan, the potential to further spread Covid variants worldwide, it would be madness to allow these games to proceed.
Tokyo has invested vast sums in terms of facilities, management etc., but the medical costs of proceeding are too terrifying to contemplate.
There is an extant State of Emergency in Japan; a wise decision.

Or have them behind closed doors, I’m sure the Japanese are world leaders in being able to organise a Covid-safe closed games? But I guess the clock is ticking and not long to sort it out. |

I had tickets for the games. When offered early last year. Decided to get refund. Now glad I did. My personnel thought is . The games should not go ahead. The risks of transmission due to athletes travelling and returning to their home countries even if tested / vaccinated is to big a risk.
As I played a sport up to only county level and doing training etc. Feel for the athletes.Due perhaps in their athletic career not being able to compete in another Olympic games. |

Granted but it won't change a thing. Money will decide. Big business & sponsors, not athletes or the public. |
