I love making costumes for fancy dress. Some of what I've done are:
Han Solo
Scrooge McDuck
Shinya Kogami (from Psycho-Pass) with a light up Dominator gun
Mad Max with leg brace and sawn off shotgun (though that party never happened)
Also turned my kids into Ewoks, Zombies and a headless person (which made another school kid cry  ) |

My star turn was as Andy from Andy and Lou of Little Britain. It was the works Xmas quiz, annual speech and awards. We got dressed there and nobody laughed at me until I put the specs on. I pushed Lou (a colleague) into the bar and everybody was in fits.
Lou later won an award for a project he participated in so I had to wheel him up to our American boss. It was uproar and the boss was speechless. Momentarily I felt like I knew what it was to be famous with so much applause.
After the hilarity I wheeled Lou away from the baffled yank down a side corridor where Lou broke free and ran back in clutching his award.
More hilarity and more bafflement for our baffled managing director. |
