Depends how you want to view it. First set your criteria.
The life form that eventually evolved in to a chicken came way before the egg. However some point between the birth of the life form and the evolution of the chicken they started to lay eggs for reproduction.
How far back do you wanna go? To keep nit simple though, we will stay as close to the present as possible. So the egg came first. |
