I was a nightmare at and out of school.. detention center.. probation orders etc..apart from a remand in prison at 17.. I've kept away from all of that...so that's gotta be a step in the right direction..I wouldn't say I've made much of my life..but I enjoy life and that's what counts..

I am dyslexic and it went unrecognised, was not diagnosed until adulthood. I also think I have an attention deficit disorder. Was written off at School

I worked hard because I loved learning, have two degrees and an assessors qualification now. Earning good money and pretty high up in my field

There's way too much pressure on people to make something of their lives. What does that even mean anyway? It doesn't matter what job you have or what car you drive or where you live. If you're happy and healthy, you've won.

Absolutely agree. Every one's successes and achievements are important to them regardless

Manchester (she/her)

I was told that I was too ill and broken to live to my mid 20s.

Now in my mid 30s, I do the one fingered salute at 1990s psychiatry.

North Bucks

Came to this country on my own when I was 13 and damaged as fuck.

Went to live with a Dad I hardly knew whose idea of love was to pay me whatever I wanted.

Took me till about 30 before I started moving from a spoiled autistic damaged man baby. To a successful survivor today.

Llanelli

I can't say I'm really successful but I work hard and I definitely earn my wage. I have no criminal record and good manners/morals so I could be doing worse

somewhere, someplace

I left school with just my gcses, finally found myself in a career in my late twenties, now in a supervisor role, going to do a management qualification and alongside that I'll be doing my d.o course potentially

Den of Iniquity

Everything meaningful I've learnt in life had fuck all to do with my school years .

I refused to do RE at school because its utter tosh ( just my opinion) so I got suspended.

The only decent thing I ever learned at school was the hiding places for a fag during cross country .

And I've turned out a perfectly rounded and sensible individual

from the womb and tryout to get back

I never went to school also I'm dyslexic but that never stopped me from achieving any of my life goals just made me want to achieve more not so much to prove those people that tried to put me down wrong more to prove to myself if you want something in life and put the effort in you can achieve your goals
