Am I too old to be a mermaid?

For all you ladies feeling less than great about your years this morning...

---

Am I too old to be a mermaid, will the sea life pass me by?

Are the waves, way too high for me, will rough seas make me cry?

Are my bingo wings too flappy, swimming through the choppy sea?

Is my costume far too strappy, should I dress appropriately?

But I’ve always been a mermaid, it’s the only life I’ve known.

And I love to be a mermaid, from the sea I dare not roam.

My wrinkles tell a story, I shall age like soft driftwood.

For age is just a number, and what you fancy does you good!

The wrinkles are because you have been in the water too long

I don't want to be a mermaid - especially an old one!

Can I just be ridiculously rich instead?

Going to eat my body weight in chocolate to fill out my bingo wings. Whales float.
