I have just watched the film for the first time, typical Oliver Stone movie, but brilliant soundtrack

I watched the Motley Crue film last week, so what other movies of this type can you recommend

They're fictional but the two David Essex films That'll Be The Day and Stardust that cover the main character's life from leaving school to becoming a rock star and beyond are a good watch

Haven't seen them for years but first one is really good- DE was a fine actor.

Oh that is a really good film...I have it on video...yes that's how long I have had it Val Kilmner really does look like Jim Morrison...and both are Gorgeous Top music too

When your strange is quite good.Its a biopic on the doors.

There is also a good film on Ian curtis (cant remember the name)

I love The Doors movie. Yeah chaotic, yeah overlong.... But filled to the brim with great music and visuals. The Riders on the Storm sequence in particular is so good. Just need to turn it up.

Another of that ilk I recommend is Almost Famous. This is not overlong though. Its perfect and my favourite film ever. Lots of great music and performances and story.

Hubby and I are both huge MC fans and thought Dirt was brilliant. Neither of us are Elton fans but Rocketman was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t really get into Bohemeian Rhapsody though despite liking Queen x
