"The Proms seem to inspire a frenzied patriotism I never really understood,"
Being Irish, I do not identify with the patriotism, but the music at the Royal Albert Hall at The Last Night of the Proms is superb , and the patriotic crowd are really enjoying themselves. Great atmosphere and the crowd have an affinity with each other, and a sense of belonging that I have never experienced in my life.
