My mum wears jeans. Took her to see Take That at Hampden when she was in her 70's and now she wants to see Beyonce live. |

"Who has trendy parents?. Took my 81yr old mum shopping today to spend her M&S vouchers and she purchased Snoopy pj's and a 101 Dalmatian nightshirt. She always makes me smile."

My mum bought a pair of gold coloured trainers. She’s 81 as well. I don’t even own a pair of trainers.
My parents were hippies in the 70s. Yep, you know what they were famous for smoking......they did that into the 90s. There would be roll ups in the drawers and my mum even grew a plant. Our dog would chew the leaves and pass out for an hour or two.
I couldn’t work out why I would, without fail, fall asleep every time I sat in the car with them but seemed perfectly able to stay awake when others were present.
Funnily enough, I have never tried a puff despite free access to a few of those roll ups that they wouldn’t have even noticed had gone missing. |

"My mother never got further than 1952 culturally, my dad is hovering somewhere around 1975.
Yeah similar, never saw my dad in jeans"
My son has never seen me in a pair either. Doubt if he ever will. |

My mother is stark raving barmy. My Dad has always been very modern and trendy. He adopted mobile phones, the internet and other tech early and has never looked his age. It's sad to see his grasp on the tech slipping away, but he still doesn't dress or look 81. |

T’s mum is desperate to see The Killers so we bought tickets for her 70th last year.

I don't know about trendy, but they're certainly not old fashioned for old people. They've always had modern decor and up to date technology, they didn't get stuck in the 70s.
I took my mum to see Gary Barlow |
