Was on a skiing holiday in France many moons ago and there was a big basket of eggs on the counter. Ho ho, thinks I, hard boiled eggs, I'll have me some of that. First crack on the table and raw egg everywhere. Well I didn't know there was a boily thing and you had to do them yourself.

I had the cornflakes....

I stayed for a few nights at Donald Trumps Turnberry Hotel. The breakfast was to die for with about 20 varieties of yougurt and delicious fresh fruit as well as fresh salmon served by men in white gloves. I felt like royalty.

That's why I love Premier Inn... though having the good weather abroad does make it much more enjoyable.

Under the Duvet

Went to a hotel in Prague some tears back (which incidentally has a nuclear bunker in the cellar!) and the breakfast buffet was out of this world. Anything you can imagine was there, hot, cold, sushi, salads, fruit, wine, and the best bit was an enormous table just covered in cakes of every description... For breakfast!

I can't remember much about the guy I went away with, but I still think very fondly of that breakfast buffet
