Dilema, points of veiw appreciated..

I have been chatting to a Lady for a few weeks now. I like her pics and we seem to be on the same wavelenth. We have scheduled to meet tonight!. Dilema I now have she accidentally face timed me before and looks a lot older than her pics. "Question" do I go on the date bearing in mind its an hour drive each way to see if we do get on. Or be a bit blunt and kindly ask that she updates her pic and good luck?. |

Just be upfront about it, she might be the same age she says but like most people online, they can look different to their pictures. Id make sure there is no deceit before meeting  |

The thing is, you’ve enjoyed chatting. Was it only about sex? If so, then I stand corrected on my earlier comment. If there was more than that, I’d say it was cruel it base it on a short FaceTime call.
Then again, what do I know. I’m not experienced at this. I just think it’s decent behaviour. |

Lots of people say I look a bit different online. Not in a negative way. Its actually mainly a compliment but I wouldn’t rule someone out from one FaceTime.

If you're unsure, and feel that you may have been deceived. Maybe ask for a picture before you leave.
Though I will add from all the zoom meetings I've had this last year. I can say that some days I look ok the next terrible. |

If she appears to be on the same wavelength, she looked exactly as she does on her pics but when you meet her the spark isn't there.

I’d go, since there is no play on first meet (always coffee meets). An hour of your time.. it’s not that big of a challenge. Think of it as a trip you’re making (since we’ve been locked down for so long) and about to meet someone you’ve chatted with for weeks. If there is no physical attraction, then it’s also fine, you’ve got to know someone new. Always nice to be kind. At least that’s what I’d do in your situation. All the best OP |

How do you accidentally FaceTime someone? Did she do a video call and actually be there chatting to you with the camera pointing at her face? If it was an accident it could’ve been her mother doing it!
Don’t see how it could be accidental given the fact most phones are locked and require passcodes to be put in before actually dialling someone. |

To be fair to her, if I were to accidentally facetime someone right now then I'd probably look considerably different to a photo I had made an effort to take in order to look good. I currently have no make up on, hair tied up in a bun, I didn't sleep well and I've got a bit of a cold, I certainly look considerably older than I would on a day I'd done my hair & make up etc.
