Hi ladies,my wife is going through the menopause and has totally gone off sex,we normally have a fantastic sex life. Does this return afterwards or is just how it will be from now on? We have talked a lot about this and she also fears that the best times have gone. Would love to know if any other women or couples have been through this and are back to pre menopause life? |

I’m peri menopausal only suffer with hot flushes , headaches and sleepless nights..... hasn’t affected my sex drive yet ...... seek medical advice if you are both concerned x |

My libido disappeared for the best part of 2 years after a total hysterectomy.
We’re all very different though - for example I don’t feel the cold much now but I don’t get proper hot flushes or sweats that a lot of women do.
If you’re wife reads this, please ask her to speak to her GP or nurse practitioner to see what help they can offer her.

She needs to see a menopause specialist. It's normal to be like that with the menopause but being on Hrt isn't life threatening for cancer like the meda made out. Do lots of research on menopause it will help you and your wife. I'm back on Hrt and feel so much better. Best wishes Her xx |
