Depends on my environment - there are some profanities, words I would never use as I just dislike them.
If I drop something on my toes, you can be sure the odd words comes out of my mouth.... |

Very occasionally. In speech hardly ever unless annoyed or I've done something stupid - then usually under my breath.
In writing I'll use them for effect rather than for the sake of it. |

I'm shocking for it, I work in an environment where its acceptable on the most part but even I'm aware I'm probably one of the worst offenders. I'm blaming my Irish upbringing.... |

I swear, but it's not because I lack vocabulary. I like to use them for comedic effect more than anything. For example, making an articulate, long winding point and then just throwing a fuck in the punchline |

It depends on the context.
It’s actually been shown that people who use profanity in general have a wider vocabulary.
Understanding context and appropriate usage of certain words is important in any situation, swear words are included in that. So swearing in the appropriate time indicates a broader understanding of language and communication |

"profanities
Do you use them?
Or..do you flinch when you hear them?
Do you think it shows a lack of vocabulary or sometimes will only a fuck do it?
I let the odd 1 or 2 slip " any fucker can swear, it’s knowing when not to swear that makes the person! |

I definitely agree with this. I'm not one to swear in front of people I don't know or in a work setting but around my friends, it's fair game. |

Not around my children, but I have been known to use some profanity on occasion. In the Army it’s expected that every other word should be a swear word, but in my current job would see me meeting with HR and my P45 |

I’m have an absolutely terrible potty mouth, I can control it around people that prefer not to hear it though. And at work I don’t swear or in front of my mom. But in the right situations swearing is amazing |

If anything the use of expletives show an increased vocabulary!
I don't like them used unnecessarily (eg. I was at the fucking pub the other day).
I do like them for their effect (I am going to fuck you. Nice and slow.)
Or when at the traffic lights and road rage is required... |
