I can tell you now I'm not one of them
Anyone ever made any money buying cheap at charity shops, car boots and such and selling it on?
Have you become shrewd overtime and would know a good find if you came across one?
Ever unwittingly bought something cheap not knowing it was worth so much more?
I mean we've all seen antiques road show right

Generally no. I think if you collect anything or see something you should buy it because you like it not because it might be worth more. If it is then that's just the bonus. |

You hear of people who make great finds...but yes, it would definitely be a bonus. |

Only clothes. I've bought some really good stuff in charity shops for a couple of quid that's turned out to be worth a couple if hundred. I once bought a hand made leather jacket for a fiver. I still have it.
We bought a painting for 75p once that's selling on eBay for £75, a couple of zero's and we'd be laughing |

Had some good bargains in the past.
Bought a dvd box set in a charity shop for £7, watched it then sold on Amazon for £70.
Bought 2 cardigans in a charity shop for a quid each, they sold for £60ish and £40ish.
And bought a pound coin collection display book from the royal mint for a few quid and then when the round pound coins went out of press I sold the empty book on eBay for £70ish.

I once bought cups that matched my decades old teaset for 25p each in the market......
Found out that my tea set is collectable ! Plates going for silly money....... well about £15 each for people trying to replace their sets.
In a charity shop I found a trade winds set , Plates, saucers , cups , bowls for about £2.50..... on e bay it'd go for about £50 or more....
I don't sell on though. I love getting the trade winds out when people are over for coffee. Dinky china with purple flowers...... so tasteful
maybe I should put it above my fireplace ..... |

I used to buy old football shirts from charity shops and sell them online. The bigger the club obviously, got more interest. So you pick them up for £5 in the shop and easily get £20- 45 on eBay.
I also once bought some women’s shoes for £12 on eBay, they didn’t fit and sold them for £75.
I have several money making schemes on the go, currently £202 this month, extra income for a few hours work on the net |
