A Chow Chow...independent, loyal, protective, but can be a bit aloof and occasionally a tiny bit aggressive. And anyone that's seen me on a humid day will agree that I definitely have the fluffy hair |

It is...I don't have one of those unless I have a slush puppy |

"A German Shepherd...Cos they're brave, strong, loyal & super smart"
Loyal and super smart I agree with. Brave not so much, mine runs to hide behind me if the door creaks. And he is scared of cats |

"A German Shepherd...Cos they're brave, strong, loyal & super smart
I absolutely love Alsatians, I wish they hadn't been bred to be so weak backed. "
Slope back is the standard set by the AKC. The European standards are sturdier. I don't know why the Kennel Club prefer the slope backed Shepherd, they do predominantly come with more issues.
I have kept GSD for years and always go for the European standard.

Only the show breed has. The working breed is still a solid powerhouse of a dog. However it has been replaced by the Belgian Malinois in the majority of roles. |

A big German Shepherd dog. I used to work with them in the military and found them to be great workers, loyal, brave, adaptable and very protective and can be soppy as owt when they want to be. |

AFAIK the rebrand to Alsatian came after one if the world wars as an effort to distance the breed from Germany. When I remember, I refuse to say Alsatian! |

One of those that runs around jumping up at random terrified kids scarring them for life making them cry and covering them in slobber and muddy footprints while their feckless owners laugh and say they’re just being friendly.
Or one of them that mauls little Alfie to death then their feckless owner says it’s so out of character for Ripper the Rottweiler as he’s always been so friendly |

Bahahahaha you've totally misinterpreted my comment... That is if your comment is aimed at me. She's 7kg toy sized & acts alot braver than she actually is. She thinks she's protecting me but would be unable to do so. She's like my security alarm. |

Some believe that the dog was named Alsatian after the breed was discovered in Alsace region of Germany/French borders and bred to herd sheep.
It is widely known as a German Shepherd....Either term is acceptable
Brought to the UK by British soldiers impressed by the breeds abilities in assisting German Soldiers. |

Sounds like you have more of a problem with self-righteous dog owners who can't accept criticism of their dogs than the dogs themselves. The moral superiority affected by some people who are self-declared animal lovers grates on me too. |

Newry Down |
A Korthal's Griffon, which is similar to a German Wire Haired Pointer.
Lovely temperament, loyal family-friendly, love to be with the family, calm, energetic, highly intelligent, easily-trained, enormous stamina, long-lived, healthy.
Very similar to myself

I'll be a Dandie Dinmont. Mostly just because it would be amazing to be dandie all the time (I know that's not how you spell THAT kind of dandy but it would still be fun) |
