So last night I met some mates inside a bar! with live music! for the first time in well over a year.
It made me realise how much I'd missed it, but what I didn't consider beforehand was how much I haven't missed the hangover!
The usual packet of skips and ice cold diet didn't touch it... so do you have any other weird and wonderful cures that may help me feel human again? |

"Sex, salt and vinegar crisps, Chinese.
I don’t really get hangovers, just a little more horny and hungry than usual "
its weird - if I've drank at home during lockdown I've felt fine the following morning... but drinking probably the same amount at the pub and I feel like I've headbutted a train! they must put something in the booze at pubs |

"lots of fluid and sleep. Not coffee or tea ( maybe a weak tea )
Pinch of salt and sugar.
Doughnuts, Doughnuts.......
Sleep, Sleep, Rest .......
24 hours.
The end."
doughnuts could be an unbelievable shout. now working out if it would be disgustingly lazy to get deliveroo to bring some from the co-op |

"Drink more and get on it again "
That would be standard practice if it weren't for reality knocking at the door and saying remember your kids and responsibilities. F'ing reality, such a buzz kill. |

A large brandy in a highball glass, two raw eggs, salt and pepper to taste, and top up the glass with milk, then down the hatch.
It never fails, and as Harold Shipman said, "Trust me, I'm a doctor." |

Like most things the preparation is important. Before a night drinking make sure you're very well hydrated. Have the odd drink of water while you're out. Eat before you go out and have a breakfast and lots of water in the morning. (Can't beat experience ) |

It's the chips that might kill me - the small portion is huge! |

3 things that you need to recover from a hangover:
Fluids
Glucose
Oxygen
Food
Therefore, Lucozade is good, drink slowly, a bottle over 20 mins, then another one. That's fluids and glucose. Oxygen - Go outside, breathe deeply, lie on the ground if you must, and keep breathing deeply.
As soon as you can tolerate it, get some food in your body, toast is great, but get a bacon butty in you and you'll conquer the world. Xx

I've been out for food and can confirm my bodyweight in pasta, an afogato and a bottle of red seem to have done the trick! not sure if I've just delayed it til tomorrow now though
I'm about to have a large whisky... anyone else for one? |
