Ooooooo.....I’ve lied about my age in my profile. Shhhh.....keep that between us.
I changed my location and age in blind panic after seeing someone I know on here when I signed on.  |

I get the people that lie by a couple of years to try and remain anonymous but some take it too far.
One boy messaged me and it said he was 33. He clearly wasn’t a day past 18/19 and admitted it when I said there’s no chance you are in your 30s 
Then you have the men that are actually older... but stick an age 5-10 years younger on.
Lots of fibs happen on fab

MANY on here seem to think they look younger than they really are and also think they can get away with it!!!
Some are clearly MUCH older than they have listed themselves,pmsl.
The question we have is WHY, why lie about your age????? |

To get under that 45 max limit most have on their profiles. I know one guy who has been 44 for several years now, and he is older than me.

There was a time, many years ago when a year or two was knocked off my age. Everybody I knew seemed to be called Peter Pan: year-on-year, they never got older, so I did the same. It usually comes out in the end though and then it's a slightly awkward conversation. Also, a couple of times on socials I was told that it wasn't necessary (which was very kind and flattering). Some guys I know say that keeping their age below 50 keeps them in the age window of more women. In my experience, if someone fancies you, they'll message or wink, irrespective of whether you're outside their age range or not. Imho honesty is the best policy. |

I never considered changing my age. I am soon goung to be 48 and and fine with that.
It's usually fairly obvious when people are telling big lies about their age.
My husband and I got chatting to a couple several years ago who claimed to be in their 40s. We reckon they were at least 10 years older than stated.
Having said that, if I'm attracted to someone and them to me, age isn't a problem. |

I don’t lie about my age. Some people ask if I’m really that old so I tell them yes I am. It’s a bit sad if I see someone I like who’s looking for someone slightly younger say, but it is what it is. People are entitled to state their preferences and I’m not going to disrespect that. |
