Personally it's something I'm reluctant to do because of a previous experience. However, of the men I've dated I would say the majority are happy to have sex when you're on your period. It's only a small handful I've met who are bothered by it. On the flip side though, I've met a small number of men who are so chill about it they've wanted to give oral if you have a tampon in. I wasn't personally comfortable with that though. |

I think the title and the question are two different things in my mind. I think it's perfectly normal for women to want sex when they are on their periods. Just as much as it's fine not to want to and the same for men if they don't like blood etc.
However, I don't think men should see periods as weird. My other half will get tampons etc from the shops without batting an eye lid. Same as if I leak at night I don't want to feel ashamed or embarrassed about it. |

But that's you developing a conversation around the topic which I understand is the nature of the forums.
However I stated that the OP implied that men were weird because they only wanted oral when she was on her period. I was told that wasn't what the thread was about and so clarifies by restating the thread title.
Even in the opening post there was no question around men being ok buying sanitary products or the lack of female reproductive cycle fof men. If was simply thd op saying how horny she was on her period and his weird it was that men didn't like it.
Of course education is key and period shame is a real thing. |

I think the title and the question are two different things in my mind. I think it's perfectly normal for women to want sex when they are on their periods. Just as much as it's fine not to want to and the same for men if they don't like blood etc.
However, I don't think men should see periods as weird. My other half will get tampons etc from the shops without batting an eye lid. Same as if I leak at night I don't want to feel ashamed or embarrassed about it.
But that's you developing a conversation around the topic which I understand is the nature of the forums.
However I stated that the OP implied that men were weird because they only wanted oral when she was on her period. I was told that wasn't what the thread was about and so clarifies by restating the thread title.
Even in the opening post there was no question around men being ok buying sanitary products or the lack of female reproductive cycle fof men. If was simply thd op saying how horny she was on her period and his weird it was that men didn't like it.

1 we don't have them ourselves so it's the unknown and there is fear sometimes in the unknown.
2 while its not actually blood, it looks a lot like blood and blood makes a lot of people uncomfortable.
3 it's messy. It's amazing the amount of people who don't feel comfortable dealing with mess. Clear body fluids are fine. Red or brown liquids can make people react with shame and that's off putting.
I'm not saying these are true for every man and I'm not saying that these are the only reasons or that they are totally valid, only that they explain why most men are uncomfortable with periods.
It's also worth noting that some women also don't want sex during periods for the third reason above. |

In its simplest form - Ignorance, lack of sexual education and social conditioning over 100s of years.
It beggars belief how ignorant and un-educated men (and woman) are.
A least as a swinging community most are more open and have a greater level of enlightenment.
Sexual intercourse at menstruation can be an amazing pleasure experience for both parties. Alot of women are super horny at that time.
