Ive just been making myself a BLT, the bacon was ready, the bread had the home made rose marie sauce, tomatoes sliced and in place, a squiz of black pepper, feeling happy I went to get the Iceberg kettuce from the fridge .....to discover its a Savoy cabbage. FFS |

"Ive four slices left
Do you ever pimp it up with some toasted corriander seeds?
Mother of God no is it nice "
Its delicious or you can chop up left over roast potatoes and fry them with bacon, cabbage, onion and the corriander seeds. Really good. Just the thing for a cold windy rainy day like......today |

Years ago ma Dad used to visit a butcher and buy half a pig, which the butcher duly chopped up and put into separate bags. Ma Dad would then sling the lot into our chest freezer.
One Sunday we thought that we were gonna have a lovely roast pork dinner with all the trimmings, the label had fallen off the bag and we had a joint of gammon instead |

"Chiffonade that cabbage and fry it for a few seconds in a good hot bacon fat.
It's goooood.
It does go well with bacon generally.
Chiffonade?"
Slice very thin. Flash fry in really hot fat and for an added dose of heaven, mix with caramelised onions. |
