I never had one. I always wanted one as a girl, so I climbed trees and played in those which fell after the storm. Can we build one please, big enough for a tree house group social? Are you coming?!

If you (have) had a tree house, what's it like? take me there with words please.

Dubai & Nottingham

I love them, I search for them on AirBnB! There is an amazing one on mission beach , the treehouse hostel in the trees of the rain forest right by a deserted beach, I love it there

I'll be in a small wooden shack at the bottom of the tree letting people up to the treehouse in a basket pulley system.

Stirling

I had one as a kid, my grandad had a huge back garden it was build into an cherry blossom tree and painted in a blush pink colour, it had bunting and a pretty pastel interior...

I used it for many things including imaginary tea parties, doing my make up whilst wearing my grandmothers vintage dresses...or I’d hide there in a sulk when I was told off

It was idyllic and he built it himself which made it special xx

I always wanted a proper tree house when I was a kid. You know like you see on American tv. Instead I has a few nails banged into the trunk and a sheet of visqueen!

Our house backed onto an old railway embankment. It probably hadn’t been used for 30+ years so was very overgrown. As you can imagine the ideal place for kids to play. There was an old signal box which as you can imagine made an awesome den and made up for the lack of a tree house.

Never actually heard a train. Like I said it had been disused for years. The tracks had actually been removed years earlier, during the war I believe for the metal

That's sad.. when the past goes missing. I went to see Solidarity strike site in Poland some years ago. I believe where it started has been mostly demolished now as those buildings weren't used in years..but obviously some parts would have be salvaged and turned into a memorial site.
