"M does it the opposite way to me drives me insane grr"

We have this exact same issue. So who does it right?

Assuming the right way is to fasten it under the little flap so the buttons stay hidden, then yes, I do it the correct way

Which is correct and which is incorrect? I do it the way it's designed, which usually means keeping the buttons hidden.

On a mooch

If they ever decide to put zips instead of buttons / p*ppers, would save a few disagreements

Definitely and I want a duvet cover that keeps the duvet in place so you don't get a corner without duvet.

What? Don't you just do them up like shirt buttons?

Oh yes! I turn the duvet round to another side when that happens (not the button end though).

"Why dont they do zips!!"

My duvet covers both have zips, so much easier than press studs/buttons

"Why dont they do zips!!"

Some do have zips, I've got one and as easy as it is and you can't get it wrong, it's on the underside of the cover and your toes know it's there

Oh and the buttons are meant to be hidden, if I see it done wrong on a quilt then I have to change them or it bugs me

"What? Don't you just do them up like shirt buttons? "

Yes I do and apparently it's wrong. It takes so long to do them up the way Mr fussy pants does it that I do them "wrong" just to annoy him

When I wash my duvets I now button them up as in the past all of my washing is in the duvet, when I get them out of the machine.

Yes I do them so the buttons are hidden as well

Why are they buttons on not a zip ?

Also, the button end must be down at the feet end, if you’ve got it at the head end you’re a weirdo.

Anywhere other than feet is wrong, having them head end isn't just wrong it's sick and should come with a mandatory life sentence.

I say do one the 'right' way and one the way you do it (also the right way) and alternate them. Both happy then.
