Up to the individual club/event to be honest - their club/event, their rules.
Can understand some clubs/events being age restricted either way to preserve the dynamic of the event - likewise understand clubs generally having an over 21 policy - many 18 year olds (especially men) aren't mature enough IMHO |

If I’m attending a club or social I always expect there will be a wide range of ages there. I perhaps would be put off if there were a high percentage of people in their very early 20s but that’s generally because I’m getting on and can’t keep up with the kids anymore. |

For clubs understand an age limit, for socials not at all, it simply makes no sense... if you have 30 year olds, are they more likely to have something in common with 55 year olds or 27 year olds? And conversely are 50 year olds more likely to chat to 21 year olds or 58 year olds?
Plus... if Denzel ever turns up... he’s bloody pensionable age nearly, are we turning him away??? |
