A couple's profile about an hour old with no pics messaged me saying they recognised me and not gonna lie, I didn't know how to react and got a bit nervous so I just blocked them.
Has this happened to anyone? How would you dealt with it and do you think it may have just been a scare tactic? |

Thanks for the input so far, seems it happens quite a bit. I don't show my face on here and I'm fairly low key in my personal life so I guess that's what kind of shook me as I wasn't sure where they could've recognised me from. |

I think it’s all about manners and tact. If you know those persons just ignore it and let it be! Maybe if you see them at a club then you could laugh about it, but in here ??
I know 2 peoples I used to meet in my local munch and regularly see them in town. Never I would dream to say hello or approach them and ask how’s your kinky life!! |

I had someone with multiple profiles do that to me once, I didn't know about the extra profiles as I had blocked the 2 I knew about, they messaged saying they knew me I had a panic and asked them a few questions I worked out they were lying got them to break and admitted who they were them promptly called them a few names before blocking them |

It honestly doesn’t bother me. I’ve been recognised by few people I’d worked with previous, they’ve said who they are acknowledged and move on. Ultimately we all here for same reasons...nothing to hide |

"I've walked round Derby and gone to a few pubs with ma Ace Winger T-shirt on, I like it when people ask me what it means "
I'll be on the lookout. I won't just approach you though, that would be weird |

Yeah, I guess but if they know me, they know my family and that would be a bit of an awkward one, especially as my background doesn't care for this scene... |

To be honest mate there’s no way they can recognise you based on what’s on your profile if you’ve never had a face picture on. There’s lots of men with similar physique to you so unless they said anything else specific about you that is clearly identifiable as you I’d ignore them they’re just doing a mind fuck |

Sensible approach. As the various countries open up to normal life, most people will be too concerned with their own lives; most people don't give a damn what their neighbours' preferences or lifestyles are. |

I get recognised a lot and when a profile messages me like Hay how's it going I think I saw you at whenever or I recognise from such and such I'm so and so I think it's fine and I'm like oh Hay how are you blah blah but I find it very creepy when an almost blank profile messages me saying I see yoh at work all the time or something and offers no more explanation or insight into who they are |

I (Bry) have been recognised twice by people I work with, and Char has been recognised once. We don't worry about it.
Even better though.....we had a message from someone claiming to know where we lived. Turned out he used to rent the house we now rent and he recognised the bedroom from some of our photos! |

I've had it recently, they know a lot about me. My name, where I went to college, things I had done, apparently made eye contact near my house and named the location... which I don't remember seeing anyone. But still won't tell me who he is as he has a girlfriend. Really Freaked me out |

Instinly removed my profile and ever time I re hound I would get a message from a blank profile saying the same went on for around 6 months
Till one day I sed on you go show them like I care I shag then all I bet they all want a go
Nothing back nothing came off it |

It's definitely creepy, I asked them how they recognised me and when they didn't answer that's when I blocked them. If you're not bullshitting, at least give me an idea of who you are |

One message who said they'd tell my work... instant block.
Checked with my work.. HR's exact quote?:
"Profile is very generic, as are pics, you're a grown woman, your life beyond here is nothing to do with us"
"Ps... we wish him luck... he'll need it!"

I dont show my face on picture because of my job till I'm 110% sure it's not a fake.
But I recognise loads of people in my town I think we are all here for the same thing so shouldn't spoil anyones fun |

I’ve been recognised quite a few times. Even though my face is not on display anyone that actually knows me real life can tell it’s me.
Generally not that bothered as long as the other person isn’t weird about it.
Had a fair few “I think I saw you, were you at x place at x time?” from people I’ve never met (and it’s never me, maybe I have a doppelgänger?)
Rob had been recognised by his tattoos before too.
I guess it is what it is!

"This happened to me too. They didn't know me, they were just full of shit.
They just wanted a reaction!
Its a conversation opener i think "
He reckoned he knew me from work. He had no idea who I was and still doesn't |

People often pretend to, just the get your attention, or if they're being creepy and don't want to let you know that they're spying on you on a second account |

I think it's more than likely it was a man with a couples profile stirring shit and causing worry for others, its sad but some people enjoy causing people drama, did the profile have a green flag? |

It is funny how things change, have been recognised a only few times lately - hazard of being around a long time .
Generally once upon a time most of people I worked with or did work for were in the scene lol. Discretion was paramount, going to events business dinners you knew people very differently . Sadly discretion in many cases has left the building, these days. There are many I know here but I would never approach them here or anywhere else because they are entitled their privacy also |

Not recognised from Fab as such, but Char had her "Hotwife" necklace on in Tesco on Sunday morning. Some guy commented "nice necklace" and we only registered what he said after we'd gone past. We turned round, Char wrote her number down and gave it to him.
Yes....he has texted. And yes....they are arranging a meet |

When I was on before, made the mistake of including my first name in my profile. Someone said they knew me from school. Although they guessed the correct school, they confused me with someone else. In the end they got bored and moved on. I do make a point of blocking anyone who says they know me. Hasn’t happened to me since. |
