I have had many offers of meets, but recently besides covid I have backed out and found excuses not to.
Reason?
I think I’m not confident anymore, since being ill my face aged a lot, now I feel uncomfortable meeting people

I think COVID has made a lot of people nervous as well.
Maybe try a few socials with people you know already to build your confidence back up.
And don't be too hard on yourself, I'm sure once you get used to going out again it'll get easier |

You're definitely not alone in feeling that way - we joined at the wrong time, and although we keep saying we want something eventually, "eventually" keeps getting further away. Darn pandemic, and of course why not buy a house in the middle of it? Great move (no pun intended).
You'll be right, you'll get back to it.

Hi op
I think many of us are nervous about meets again due to covid, add to that you've been ill so its not surprising you feel anxious.
Take it nice and slow and wait till you're comfortable and find someone who understands.
Stay safe x |

I get so nervous and have backed out before.
Maybe try meeting someone who you know well for a social as a practice
Remember excitement can be mistaken for nerves x |
