Do you believe in fate?

If so do you think fate is fixed or do you think you can change or influence it?

yes, 100% i do.

i think fate is fixed, and regardless of what we say or do, what's meant to be will happen.

Yes and no. I believe we are destined to experience certain things but how we get through them is up to us.

I think we have certain lessons to learn, but I think that we can determine our future by the actions we take.

Not in any mystical or supernatural sense. But I do think all human behaviour is heavily influenced by our genes (nature) and early life (nurture) so patterns of behaviour can seem predetermined, and true free will is a questionable concept.

I think fate is a deluded word, the idea that it's fixed us an unanswerable question

Think about it

Yes and no. I have a tendency to see connections and meaning when there probably aren't any to be made. And I like personality quizzes and horoscopes (not daily ones).

At the same time realising that stuff just happens - and looking for reasons why can take you down a rabbit hole - and who I am is a mix of nature and nuture and lived experiences.

Nope, there's far too many variables for anything to control via fate

No. I’ve heard it mentioned again recently. “What’s meant to be is meant to be”. I’m not buying into it.

I think fate is definitely a thing but it’s then up to us to how we work with it.

C had a stable of 3 guys she could call on, she wasn’t looking for anyone.

I was in a relationship and wasn’t looking for anyone.

Within a month, my relationship was over, I lost my job and I had to move home, one of C’s guys suddenly decided he wanted more and so a space became available.

I joined FAB to forget about my life unraveling and had to wait 2 weeks to get on the forum...within days I spotted C and sent a message. I then got another house and job.

She didn’t do guys with stubble, or hair for that matter but something about my pic intrigued her.

Neither of us were looking or thinking of a relationship at all...

Fate decided differently...lockdown happened and we formed a bubble...we messaged all the time and became really close. The

None of the above should have happened...it was like someone was giving us a massive helping hand. That was a series of events that neither of us forced, but it was as if it was being worked towards.

So I’ve got to say yes, I believe in fate
