We’ve only joined in the last year since but seem to have come across a few accounts we suspect of being fake or at least not both members of the couple. Is there any particular reason why photo verification isn’t a requirement of signing up, especially when the ultimately it could lead to you actually meeting this person? |

Website value is decided in part by the nber of members/posters. Forced verification would cut down the numbers. |

It's perfectly reasonable for you to decide only to engage with profiles that are photo verified . It isn't really a guarantee though. I can understand why the site doesn't make it compulsory. |

What will a photo verification prove?
A couple profile may have 500 meet in person verifications but last week the woman left and now just the man is using the profile...... |

Verification isn't foolproof so different people have different views on how important it is to them. The information about whether somebody is verified or not is made available and people can make their own decisions about what to do with it. |

There are quite a few where the man has left and the woman is still using the profile including one that I know of where the man was very publicly replaced and the profile amended to suit but the 100+ verifications were still being displayed. |

Admin have said they won't make photo verification mandatory.
You can exclude non verified people from messaging you and from any search you do. The site will work the way you want it to then ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |
