Last week someone was saying how lucky they were to have been given VIP tickets to a music festival, just noticed that they are trying to sell them now!!
Maybe it's me but I wouldn't be happy if I had been the person gifting the tickets

Same here. If I couldn't make it then I'd return them to whoever gave them to me, as I think I'd be more likely to get some in the future than if I just made a quick buck from their generosity... although maybe the person did contact whoever gave them the tickets and they got given the green light to sell them on. |

Without asking the person who gave them its bad form after all it was a gift and accepting meant you were interested in going. |

I wouldn't jump to conclusions about anyone selling such things.
Some need the money sadly far more than the item. I've personally known veterans selling medals and memorabilia because they need to pay bills or replace a knackered cooker.
I've known a couple of sportsmen too who for personal reasons have found it necessary to sell prized awards and items of huge sentimental value to make ends meet.
Yes there's the mercenaries out there who just want to make a quick buck - but seeing a relative sell family heirlooms and prized possessions as a last resort is never a pretty sight! |
