Yesterday evening I received some horrible news that a dear friend of mine suddenly passed away. He was such a character and had a heart of gold, and such an infectious laugh.
I'm still in shock really, and I keep thinking of him, friends who we all grew up with, others who have drifted apart..
If any of you would be so kind to tell me a joke (good or bad), limmerick, or some obscure factoids to take my mind off things, I'd much appreciate it. |

There is a fruit that tastes like chocolate pudding.
Black sapote is also called the chocolate pudding fruit. The fruit which is native to Central and South America—tastes like sweet custard with a hint of chocolate. When it's fully ripe, the flavour and consistency has been described as a very similar to chocolate pudding.

Awww I’m so sorry mate, I had the similar news last weekend. And I feel for you and their family.
There’s a really great group of people on here and I was really touched by their genuine messages of help.
And likewise if you need to chat I’ll gladly lend an ear mate. |

I got a little shock reading your post OP, I can’t imagine the shock you’re in now.
I very sorry for your loss.
Marie Curie is the only person to have won the Nobel prize in 2 different sciences.
- Physics 1903 radiation
- Chemistry 1912 radioactivity
I have no idea why that fact popped into my mind to share with you but you never know when you’ll need it.
