I had a Big Mac recently when they were available for 99 pence and I was reminded why I don't buy from MacDonalds even semi-regularly* (last previous purchase was driving between San Diego and Las Vegas and I was ravenous after being caught in terrible traffic jams for several hours).
On the other hand, In-N-Out Burger is a firm favourite.
* My dog did enjoy a box of chicken nuggets. |

Burger king but only because they put salad on theirs as standard.
Five guys wins for burger construction overall. They are so much better than McDonald's or Burger king |

"Double Whopper with cheese and fries here please "
Weak sauce, triple whopper big boy here.
Although Burger King is basically never open, if it is half the kitchen is broken, etc etc
McDonald’s needs some competition for sure. Will be trying out Wendy’s when it opens.
I’m a connoisseur of this stuff. |

I tend to use MacDonald's because the wait is short or non-existent. Other places places can be slower.
When I order and they reply with the inevitable "Izzattameal?", I always say "No. It's junk food".
Sometimes they laugh but last time I said it reckon I would have pulled had I not had a companion with me. It appeared to make the girl's day. She was brighter than usual and on my wavelength. |

20 years since been in a McDonalds, and never been in a Burger King, so can't really comment.
I do however enjoy KFC though.
My friend in the States swears by Wendy's who I believe are returning to the U.K. in the near future but with only 400 outlets compared to 1600 for McDonalds. |

McDonald's, though they're not fantastic.
Food is generally warm and not hot . They cook to order and it gets cold quickly, before it's bagged and served. Whilst they bag huuuge orders for delivery riders to take to people, where it must be stone cold. |

I haven't got a BK or KFC near me, but by my experiences, it would be McD.
I've tried a couple of BKs and everytime they were just an impossible to eat whilst out as it had too much stuff and was badly packed so it just fell apart. They were always pretty much cold.
The only KFC I tried was around here but it closed down and I wasn't suprised. It was dirty, staff were rude and I couldn't finish the food as it was overly greasy and wet tasting and the batter was soft.
McD isn't exactly brilliant, but at least it's cheap and seems pretty consistent. |

Of the choice presented here, Burger King, easily.
Five Guys have a funny name, but the food is astonishingly overpriced and overrated. Find your local independent "gourmet burger" place instead. It'll be cheaper and better. |

"Apparently there are 71 wimpys still in the UK blimey.
Had my first half pounder in a Wimpy.
"
Do they still do the Big Bender in a Bun?
It was a spiral frankfurter in the buns, so essentially a hot dog.
Not had one since I was a kid, but loved them!
(why are their so many burger restaurants, and hardly any hotdog restaurants?) |

Always McDonalds. Must say though, since we cut them out of our diet due to both losing weight last few months, then had one couple weeks back and it tasted pretty awful. |

Burger King although I wish their rolls could withstand a bit of handling
They fall to pieces and you’re left holding a burger with lettuce and onion on top and Brian sat in his van across the way ends up staring open mouthed at the ham fisted cow in the car across from him trying to DISCEETLY look like she’s not shovelling her face full of food and wearing half of it on her coat. |

My instict says Burger King but its normally McDonald's over Burger King in reality.
Burger King has better burgers. But its way too expensive (although the app has some good deals). Burger King restaurants tent to be rather scruffy and messy in my experience. Also you tend to have to wait ages. On the whole the value for money and customer experience is far behind that of McDonald's.

Havent had fast food in over a year, had a chicken legend once, tasted like it had been sat in old oil for ages. Fast food is a hit or miss for me in this country. |

"In the USA, McDs wins, but here in UK, Burger Death wins over! I think McDs burgers in UK tastes like carboard!
I think burger king is vile here"
I use Burger King on US bases here in UK, so technically they are US, as far as I am aware, it comes from US. |

Burger King's mushroom double Swiss and bacon double cheeseburgers were winners over Maccy's any day. Burger King fries these days can give Maccy's fries a run for their money. I've not had either in lockdown... |
