Morning all,
Am I the only one to tire of hearing Harry (and Meghan) whinge about how hard their life is?
Ok, he had a terrible tragedy as a young lad but his tendency to demand privacy - and then inflict his grief upon us in the public eye - appears somewhat ironic.
The timing of the Oprah interview (while Philip was gravely ill) and his latest moan this week (less than a month after Philip died) stinks.
I realise most of us will never really know what goes on in royal life, but it seems to me he wants the publicity, but on his terms. Or those he is told to adopt. |

I used to respect Harry and what he did in his life.
Now it's airing his life in public and expecting us to feel sympathy.
I know how I feel about keeping my private life private and seeing them publicly talk about other family members in such derogatory terms just made me squirm  |

The press publish stories about them skewed in such a way to make Meghan appear like a nasty witch. If Kate does the same thing as Meghan, she is lauded as an angel.
I feel bad for H&M. They have some utter shit thrown against them.
Harry is correct in saying his family are trapped. They can't leave the job they were born into. Money is irrelevant when you are trapped. |

I do agree if both Harry and Meghan want privacy then they can have. Yet it seems ? Both are doing podcasts etc to show how both have been victimised by Royal family ? Their problem from my point of view is . They need to earn millions of dollars to pay for house , security etc. Having chosen to live in billionaires row of houses. Which they are not. So have to sell themselves and using Royal titles which they say do not want to be part of without doing the normal Royal duties that are entailed |

100% this , they never demanded privacy they asked for their lives not to be intruded upon by the press
OP think of it a bit like inviting your mother in law round for sunday lunch vs her inviting herself to live with you ... see now how wanting some of your own life and privacy doesn’t have to mean vanish off the face of the earth (which would never be possible for a prince anyway)
the Oprah interview was filmed before Philip was sick btw , and the message he is spreading now about breaking generational cycles of pain I think is a very important one to share, i have been watching my sister try so very hard to do it with her daughter and it’s great to see someone high profile speak about it publicly and put some weight behind it , if anything just to help people realise it is possible , and hopefully let the older generation in the scenario see that is it not being done to spite them or make them feel guilty, its not about criticising the past its about learning from it  |

but my point was in response to folk that think they are fair game because they did and interview and a podcast - why does that make them some kind of public property that its ok to take as many pops at as you want? what is broken within us as a society that we can’t still recognise these people on tv/ radio/ films/ instagram wherever it may be, as other humans |

Why should we leave them alone when they keep seeking publicity ? In the last few weeks they have done the Oprah interview, a filmed bus ride with James Corden, promoted a book and done a podcast.
So what?
They are celebrities,thats what they do
He is earning a crust,unlike the rest of them he has to earn his keep now
He is just telling his own story as is his right
Its not like hes lying or anything

Agree totally
Its one thing celebs using the media for publicity,still no reason to treat them as we do tho,but harry had no choice
He is telling his story openly like a real person and trying to stand on his own 2 feet
He should be an example to the rest of the windsors instead of this bullying propaganda that the queen and her minions are orchestrating

Am I the only one to tire of hearing Harry (and Meghan) whinge about how hard their life is?
Ok, he had a terrible tragedy as a young lad but his tendency to demand privacy - and then inflict his grief upon us in the public eye - appears somewhat ironic.
The timing of the Oprah interview (while Philip was gravely ill) and his latest moan this week (less than a month after Philip died) stinks.
I realise most of us will never really know what goes on in royal life, but it seems to me he wants the publicity, but on his terms. Or those he is told to adopt.
I'm fed up of all of them to be honest the only one I cared hearing about was Princess Diana she seemed the most genuinely kind hearted caring woman that actually put efforts in to help in some parts of the world. Rip Diana

They're all victims. The whole monarchy is designed to ensure its survival and the people within it are no more than expendable pawns. William is in a very difficult position and none of us will see know the truth about his relationship with his brother. |
