I find women attractive in all different forms.

I think the term usually gets used to describe women who have curves or as they say, something to grab onto.

So anyone who doesn't match up to the ideal is what? It is impossible to say something is the best without simultaneously saying that everything other than that is somehow less than.

Then there's the whole question of what is an ideal woman?

Horrible phrase, should be banned along with real man, ladylike, manly etc. They're all subjective ideals by which some (most?) people judge others.

"Curvy, natural big boobs and a mummy tummy. Just what I imagine when someone mentions real woman. "

This is the most common definition when talking about what a real woman is. But why can’t you have a teal woman that’s had a boob job and doesn’t have what people refer to as a ‘mummy tummy’ which usually means it could be a bit big. I’ve got a mummy tummy because I have a tummy and I’m a mother. Yet I don’t fit what men believe is a ‘real woman’. Baffles me.

shits creek

For some it'll be one that does what they're told.

For others it'll be one that is totally independent.

For him it may be one that spends all their time preening and looking their best.

For her it might be one that is happy in their skin, armpit, leg and chin sprouty hair embraced.

Some may think of it as the mumsy type.

Others may envision someone who is all of the above, but at different times.

Ultimately it comes down to the individual doing the perceiving. I don't care about being someone else's perception of a real woman, even though it can sting at times when I'm not in a good place mentally. It implies others who don't fit into their box are unworthy or incomplete somehow.

I'll continue to be the real me, with my periods and rogue hairs and independence yet neediness. I'll carry on being the walking contradiction I grew into because there's far more too me to cram into a box labelled 'real woman'.

I'll take half decent human over real woman any day of the week

this and in essence to me that is what we should all aim to do. Is be your real self despite it all. Labels others attach to you only bother you only if they hit a nerve in your own insecurities.

I mean someone called my a fat chimp, didn't care that they called me a chimp but the fat bit did. Because it hit my own insecurities. So I gave my own head a wobble and got on with life.

Nowhere

I think it’s a bizarre description - a real woman I guess one not costing £3000 made entirely of silicon like these new dolls - that’s another strange one - guys who want to marry their sex doll… but I digress…. No idea what it’s supposed to mean - if it’s that nondescript as a definition then it’s pointless using it

A "real woman" is yet another label and a particularly vague one at that.

Often used in lieu of an actual description and/or as a means to justify rejecting one body type over another.

It is also used as a cunning filter by men to allow women to self identify as someone's type.

It's about as much use as "gym fit". Geoff Capes was gym fit, could work out all day, could bench press a Lada and could pull a truck using just his ballsack*.

*I made that bit up.

I'm not a fan of negative or vague lables.

A real woman is whatever the hell she wants to be

It's one of those words we love to hate on here, like fake and genuine. It's meant as a compliment to some and taken by others as an insult. It's one of those hand-grenade words and best avoided.

But, and this is true.

There are times in a mans life when that is the only thing he can think about someone.

Because (and normally it has nothing to do with sex) that person has behaved in a way that measures up to his idea of his ideal woman.

For it to be bandied around cheaply is bullshit and I wouldn't use it publicly to compare people.

No slight to OP as it is a good question.

In my opinion it's usually a poor choice of words and what comes across on the thread isn't necessarily what was in the person's mind when they wrote it. Using ideal instead of real would be infinitely better.

A real woman is a sultry, minxy creature who seduces your mind, often by the way she dresses totally seductively, and if you are lucky enough you get to kiss her passionately, touch her sensuously, ultimately sliding your fingers up her figure hugging dress, passing gently over her stocking tops, and not finding yourself with a handful of balls! That's when you know that you have a real woman on your hands, so to speak.

Isn't a real woman one who does not just accept herself for what she is, but walks tall knowing she has an innate worth as a human being regardless of any specific looks, traits etc.?

For me it is about that, and striving to fulfil my potential - irrespective of what that is in the individual case.

"Curvy, natural big boobs and a mummy tummy. Just what I imagine when someone mentions real woman.

Baffles me.

Real ffs not teal!"

You are a real woman. Don't get too hung up on the actual definition, in the same way as women say "real man", what's a real man? You are whatever the individual looking at you perceives you to be. It's so subjective and not worth thinking too deep into.

Not me, I’m apparently Fakey McFakeface.

People mean different things by it, on here I think it mainly means “someone who will meet me” as opposed to the fakes who won’t.

In any context, I hate the terms “real women” and “real men” because they’re designed to lift a group up by putting another group down. Or sometimes, to distance a group from a badly behaved sub-group: “a REAL man wouldn’t do that”.
