With zero expectations is usually best, never assume if you do strike a conversation up that it will lead to getting naked together, enjoy the conversation, once restrictions are lifted, find a local social that’s being organised and try to attend that, meeting face to face at a social is far easier than trying to strike up a conversation on the internet. |

I'd personally say don't be generic. Address them by name as best as possible, reference their profile, include anything they may have required (picture, message title, etc...) and be polite.
