Israelis and Palestinians. Judaism is just one of the religions amongst the people living in that part of the world. The story of 12 tribes of Israel being led out from Egypt by Moses and settling in Palestine is a myth. The Palestinians today I believe are largely descended from the Samaritans who were the 9 tribes of Israel remaining after 3 tribes got exiled by the Babylonians. The Persians conquered the Babylonians, and let the 3 tribes return after 70 odd years. In the meantime the 9 tribes mixed with other local people and were considered impure by the returning 3 tribes who then called themselves Jews to separate themselves from everyone else. |

It’sa desperate response after Palestinian families are being kicked out of their homes after 50 years so that Israel can bulldoze them and build settlements in their place. We used to call this ethnic cleansing |
