How many times have you moved house?

I saw somewhere, can’t remember where, that the average person moves 11 times during their life.
I’ve moved 7 times, not sure 1 of the moves counted as it was back in with my Mum post getting divorced.
Thinking of moving again now. |

So far only twice.
I have no real desire to move away from my hometown at the moment.
I do feel tied here to look after my parents as they age though because I am an only child.
but who knows what the future may bring and where it will take me. |

5 different addresses as a student, and moved twice since then - although I'm open to the idea of moving to a completely different part of the country, the logistics of actually moving out me off slightly |

Actual having to move my belongings would be 5 times. Not counting moving from my family home to my own place. I quite like moving because I get rid of stuff I don’t need.
My favourite move was when my landlord owned two properties right next door to each other and the other house had been painted throughout with new carpets throughout and I was literally just taking everything from one house right next door and putting everything in it’s place straight away, even my clothes still on the hangers, was taking them straight into my room as both places had fitted wardrobes.

three times
bought one lived there like 5 years moved not far around 2 miles, bought next lived there 3 years then moved one mile further, now in next.
dont plan on moving until we need to, fed up with all that hassle. |
