I have a Chevy Camaro in the USA. It was ordered by the Highway Patrol, but they cancelled the order. Dual supercharged engine, Police suspension and everything else is Corvette. It even has the Police lights in the front and rear dash, as well as strobes all around.
It is stupid fast, and I have to be on my A game when I drive it!

"Ive owned a few....but the holy grail for me would be a 1971 Hemi 'Cuda.....( closely followed by a a 1970 boss 429 mustang, a 1971 formula 455 firebird, and a 1967 pontiac gto"
We picked up a 69 camaro for restoration. Some cars are insanely priced. Hubby had some when he was younger he gets mad now knowing the prices. |

"Granted it's not a muscle car but my favourite Yank Tank is the '59 Chevy Impala.
Those fins and teardrop tail lights just do it for me" I agree sultry choice. |

Audi R8.
Oh, it has to American and all knickers and no go?
OK, the 180 BHP turbocharged Corvair then. Six air-cooled cylinders hanging out behind the back wheels. Front engines are for sissies |

Pontiac Firebird Trans Am for me.
My favourite of these being the last of the breed models from 1998-2002
I currently have a 96 Firebird that I've owned for the past 18 years |

Probably a 69 Camero
One of my favourite muscle cars in the U.K. Johnny Smith (used to be on Fifth Gear) owns a Dodge Charger but it’s largely unrestored. I absolutely love it. It’s really tatty looking but tastefully modified to be usable. |

Corvette L88 for me. Not your typical muscle car with its sports car heritage but it’s got all the points that make it muscle.
Clearly I like some quirky muscle as I own a jap muscle car two words that shouldn’t go together, jap and muscle |

I’m a big fan of the 1968 Ford Mustang GT from Bullitt. Great film and a great car. I also quite like the modern Mustang that is available over here.
I also like the 1960 Chevy Corvette and the Corvette Sting Ray. Beautiful cars. |

Eleanor from the Cage movie is my favourite muscle car too but it's a shame that the licence owners are litigious cretins. |

It’s a shame that so many Ford sierras have been covered in fibreglass and made into “replicas”
Saw 3 replicas at Oulton Park a few weekends ago. |

The Camaro was the first car I drove, aged 13 whilst visiting family in America |

Obvious choices are;
‘69 Charger (General Lee & baddies car in ‘Bullitt’)
‘68 Mustang GT390 (McQueens wheels in ‘Bullitt’)
‘70 Dodge Challenger (‘Vanishing Point’)
Plymouth Superbird (200MPH, on NASCr circuits)
Mid-late 60s Chevelles & Novas
And, by that time, it wasn’t by any stretch of the imagination a ‘muscle car’, but the ‘77 Trans-Am, in ‘Smokey & The Bandit’
As already mentioned above; AC Cobra
A car with a killer reputation
0-60, in around 4seconds
0-100, circa 8.8
165MPH (gearing dependant)
One even touched 195, & was the subject of a classic car programme (or was it 190MPH?)
No turbos, no supercharging, no fancy electronics, no aerodynamics
Just a 427cubic-inch V8 (circa 7.0), a 4- speed gearbox
Set in the 60s/very early 70s; ‘Two Lane Blacktop’
The grey primer’55 Chevrolet, running a 454ci (in the ‘hero car’)
Driven in the film by James Taylor (the singer/songwriter), it was also Harrison Fords car in ‘American Graffiti’ |

This. And it’s horrible too. One of the few things designed by Chip Foose that I hate. |

The original Eleanor mustang was a yellow 1971 mach 1....(the original gone in 60 seconds movie from the early 70's, made by and starringg H B Hallicki) |

Have a few & love American steel from a number of generations, also quite a few British classics. Isn't always about the big engines & speed! More about just enjoying them whilst we still have time to. |
