What are the best number plates you have seen while out driving?
Obviously don’t mention the full plate if your ember it, just the gist of it.
I saw one today that made me smile, it said “cum” on it.

I don't know about funny reg plates but once we stuck a 'honk if you bonk' plate on the back of a woman's car and the next day she was talking about getting stuck on the M25 with all these cars and lorries blasting out horns.
She was a nasty cow |

"There used to be a drug dealer special Range Rover round by me with the plate spaced to read MR 51CK B
The B presumably stood for Bastard "
Yes we also had a drug dealer near here with a very discreet Lamborghini and his number plate basically read "DRUGGIE" I think it was DRU661E. Currently staying at a one of her majesty's hotels (the ones with bars on the windows) ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

"In the 1970s a glamour model, Fiona Richmond, girl friend of strip club owner Paul Raymond, was spotted driving a yellow Jaguar E type in Brighton.
Registration number FU2"
That's pretty good |

"Status quo drummer had a69man on his old xr3 bac in the day"
I assume that must have been Jeff Rich? Rossi and Parfitt both said he was a serial shagger, and often had to disappear behind in a screen in the he studio every couple of hours to "relieve the tension" ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

The former British porn star, Fiona Richmond, now aged 76, had the following number plate: FU 2.
Cliff Richard's number plate was MOV1T; his first British number one hit.
A famous British comedian had the plate: COM1C.
Years ago in Liverpool a Porsche 911 drove past me on the motorway: A911GEM.

Autonumerology is the study of unusual and distinctive vehicle registration plates, that are designed to draw attention to that vehicle and its occupants.
Successful swinging, amongst many other skills and attributes, requires discretion, circumspection and the adoption of a low profile, the so-called grey (wo)man.
Vehicle registration plates such as PEN 1S; BO11LUX; LU54 RDY, etc., might draw adverse attention to the driver.
Oh, and I am not suggesting that the former page 3 model, Linda Lusardi is a swinger!

"70 BE, NOT 70 BE
Sitting next to each other on a driveway. "
In West London just opposite the embankment they’re parked up
I saw a Mitsubishi once going around Swansea with A15 LUT but the 5 was meant to be an S and was joined to the LUT so it read A1 5LUT..lol |

Years ago when I worked in corporate hospitality, we hired Porsches for clients to have track days, and the Porsche dealer we used had a Porsche 928S with the reg THE 928S.
Back in the 1970s, I saw a MK3 Ford Cortina with the reg SSS555S, I believe it's now on a BMW.
Someone mentioned COM1C, I believe Jimmy Tarbuck had that one, Paul Daniels had MAG1C. |

Not funny, bit I find it slightly odd that the first ever number plate issued - A1 - is not on anything exotic but rather a 13 year old MINI
And there's a car in my club that genuinely has the plate TTT 555H, which somehow appeals to my sense of symmetry |

I have seen with my own eyes...
ST4G (with the 4 made to look like an A)
1 AM U
DOR15 (one for Fab's Exeter friend)
Ones I have seen on telly:
MAG1C (Paul Daniels had it)
MUS1C (Paul McCartney had it) |

I used to own an Austin Maxi back in the day before reg numbers meant anything.
The reg number was H9, it went with the car to the scrap yard, it's now on a Honda motorbike, probably worth a fortune.
I owned many reg numbers on old cars in years past.
Maxi .... H9
Humber super snipe .... WLB 6
Norton ..... 18 WPP
Vauxhall .....MDF 33
Vauxhall .....111 VFK
Volvo .... 130 LOX (push the 13 together to make a B)
another old Volvo .... 50 NNY (SONNY)
to name but a few of many ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

In the united states, you can actually devise your own vehicle plates, but many plates for a variety of reasons.
The best one I came across was the vehicle plate of a farmer called McDonald:
EIEIO. |

The current British vehicle plate system is a boon for the creation of amusing and personalised number plates:
Two letters/two numbers/and three letters.
But the most valuable, by a long chalk, are plates which pre-1963, that did not have a specific year designation.

They were at the large house on the corner of Cheyne Walk, by Albert bridge.
2 BE and NOT 2 BE
Went past recently and seems to have moved on as just dull cars sat there. |

"You can't have funny number plates in ireland "
You are mistaken. There are a lot of funny plates in Northern Ireland where GB plates are all legal.
In the Republic of Ireland the vehicle plate system changed in 1987, to its current format, but was very different before that, including different colours of plates and letters. It was and is based on the county system, largely. |

OBO110X does not exist.
NAS7Y is currently on a grey Volkwagen |

DRU661E and DRU881E do not currently exist as plates on registered vehicles. |
