I know there are loads of threads about last night but ...... !!!
Was anyone else a little surprised when Eric Idle sang the actual lyrics....

thought the inclusion of the song and the way it was done was awesome,one of the highlights..
totally off the wall, having the 'bangra' drummers, bagpipers, morris men and all the rest was a bit bonkers but very well done..
all a bit eccentric but good...

Yep In USA cos they were struggling to understand the accents, they put subtitles up that said Crap rather than shit, then someone over ruled it and they went to interview Micheal Phelps again while having 3 advert breaks |

I was a little surprised by it too, but pleasantly so.
I was more impressed by the changing of the Who's lyric "it's only teenage wasteland" to "it's more than teenage wasteland" to fit in with the whole multi cultural positive vibe of the whole closing ceremony. |
