I know it's old news now but only just read about the assault at the train station.

Apparently this is like a series of attacks now.

I really hope they get jail time for that once caught regardless of their age.

Me too. But our justice system is a joke so they won't. That's why we have such jumped up picks here, because there are little to no detterants.

A man who was part of a small gang who bet a 20 year old to death and was the one directly responsible for the killing blow, has been released 2 years early after only getting 6 years for manslaughter to begin with. The country is a joke.

East Midlands

One of the alleged perpetrators (the no mark who tried to push the woman under the train with his bike) has been named on twitter.

I hope all the women affected by this are ok, and the attackers are caught and brought to justice.

I love Dublin. I grew up in crumlin. It was poor and rough but not the poorest or the roughest area.

The more pressure is applied to a society the more chance there is of people using violence as a way of venting that pressure.

I had a friend in the 90s who hung around with a group of lads and their idea of having a laugh was doing at 1 am and going into mickey Ds or burger King and starting a brawl. That was entertainment for them. Individually they were nice kids. But in a group they were vicious. He died as he lived.

I agree with the poster above. Our justice system is a joke and nothing is ever done to fix the underlying problems that cause the violence

Redhill

I lived in Dublin from 2007 to 2011.

Beautiful City, but being non-white, there wasn’t a day that I didn’t get racially abused. I used to come home in tears from work most days. That was the main reason why we decided to come back to England... I never felt safe walking there at night or early morning either...

I saw that train video last night

Spitting in women’s faces and then the fella with the bike actually pushes his wheel towards her and that’s what made her fall below the train.

Absolute scum. There’s another video of them jumping on a car as well
