Anyone seen the current Meteor Shower - the Perseid meteor shower? It's on atm, but obviously only if we get a clear sky... been waiting up, and popping out in a min to look.

Look to the East, from midnight on, or so.

Saw a couple, and then the rest of the cloud moved over. Stars were lovely and clear, always good to see. Should be on tomorrow, and may last a little longer too - always from midnight tho, so need to be up later.

Going to peak! Where's east? Or was it west?

Neck was getting a bit stiff too, so not sure how long I could have carried on staring up there.

It's East, Abbie - I've picked it as the sun sets in the west, so looked in the opposite direction.

Bad luck Abbie - if you're up tomorrow night, should be good too.

And Honeypotcouple- same thing... it lasts 3 or 4 days, and best nights should be today/tomorrow.

No good if there's too much cloud up there/rain etc.

Glad the cloud came over here, my necks still aching badly, so may take a pain killer - think I was straining myself too much, but at least had 1 lovely big one, as well as another.

This lot come every year, so at least it's not one of those once in a lifetime opportunities.

The planets that were visible earlier this year were great too.
