was saved last night from imminent death when a Collie dog alerted others to the plight of that man who was hanging onto a cliff ledge.
The rescue services were then contacted and sent a helicopter which proceeded to winch the man away from danger.
He was then given treatment at a local hospital for minor scratches and bruising.
In a later news report it was discovered he had been dangling on the ledge for several hours and when asked about the circumstances of his rescue put that down to his having strong hands.
Which he had built up through many years climbing.
Is he being reasonable?

"Reasonable about what? Do you mean us be telling the truth? Possibly. What would he have to gain from lying? No credit to his dog or anyone else?"
If I clung onto a cliff for several hours I would credit myself too!
That is quite impressive |
