I was feeling a bit grotty last night, so went for a quick nap at 7pm. Woke up 14 hours later
Who likes sleep? Who doesn't? Have you had a big sleep? Or gone without sleep? Do you only fall asleep if you have particular conditions like 17.2 degrees C, special blanket and favourite song? This is your safe space to disclose all things slumber related!
N.B. I may still be a bit snoozy.

I used to be a bad sleeper, but now I sleep really well, and I love my bed. I don’t get enough though. 7 1/2 hrs doesn’t cut it. Must go to bed earlier. |

I fell asleep very strangely last night. I'll save the embarrassing details.
But on an ideal night, I love my duvet cocoon..wrapped safely and snuggled. I like to be tucked in if possible and spooned. But when alone, I set a sleep podcast, I wriggle and fidget to find that sweet spot and fall into Morpheus arms. I like my window always slightly ajar and polite request: no dreams, please. Just deep, undisturbed, peaceful stretch of sleep to wake up fresh and not longing for a nap. |

I generally only sleep 5 hours a night, my partner loves sleep which is all good love to watch her while she is sleeping.
To many this would sound creepy but as far as I know she likes it ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

I love sleep but don’t get enough. I have no trouble getting to sleep but can’t stay asleep long enough, I keep waking up through the night or have periods of insomnia.
Then I’m always a light sleeper as I have to listen out for problems with my son x |

Me and sleep have a love/hate relationship. I love it, but it refuses to allow me to have the amount of it i need. Sometimes it even teases me during the day/evening as i doze and then i get comfy in bed and its nowhere to be seen. |

I'm awful at sleeping during the nighttime. Almost always awake until 3 or 4 am, then very light sleep. Until it turns light when I fall into a near coma... Also very often end up napping for an hour or two in the afternoon. If I sit anywhere comfortable with a book, I'll find that a couple of hours just vanish. |

I like sleep, it doesn't like me. I can't stay asleep longer than an hour or two at a time and generally only get between 5/6 hours broken sleep a night. Mostly I cope then maybe once every few weeks I turn in to the devil until I crash out for a couple of hours and start the cycle again. |

I envy people like you it takes a military operation of getting my bedroom just right, finding the right comfy place in bed and an exorcism for me to fall asleep. |

Seems a few people have trouble sleeping What tips does anyone have that might help?
Sometimes if my brain is still whizzing I try to focus on nothing but my breath. How it feels, the different sensations. I catch my brain wandering off and return to the breath. It usually helps x |

I go in phases, for a few weeks I cant sleep and get about 5-6hrs broken.
Then it is like my body wants to play catch up and the next few weeks I cam sleep 10hrs solid a night.
Repeat cycle until death |

Love sleep and my bed. I'm very lucky and sleep pretty well. Once I'm awake though, thats it. I'm up and raring to go. Cannot lie in and never want to. Would happily stay in bed for fun though (and brews!) |

We both struggle with sleep.
A good night is 3-5 hours for me...ive been an insomniacs since childhood. The heavy pain meds I take can be a blessing for finding sleep at times!

Sleep is by far the most important aspect of my life, that I manage meticulously.
There is a lot of material available on the subject of sleep hygiene, on google video.
Crucially, most people's sleep is affected by too much light; I use blackout blinds, similar to those prevalent in Scandinavia.
For good sleep, have a cool dark bedroom, adequate ventilation, no electronic devices in sight, no food or drink for several hours before retiring, a good quality firm mattress, and a regular bedtime routine.
It may sound simple, but can take a long time to achieve. |

I get around 4-6 hours a night... But it's always broken sleep.. I was awake last night at 2, 2.30, 3...then 6.30, 7 pffttt
So annoying when I'm tired.. I can't let myself nap during the day either for some reason |

I adore sleep, but I usually wake up 2 or 3 times in the night. Only for a short while but it would be lovely to sleep all the way through sometimes. Curled up in my cocoon is my safe place. |

I take magnesium and vitamin D which help sleep. Drink calming herbal tea before bed.
Never have a tv in your bedroom.
If you use your phone for your alarm have it on airplane mode.
Never pick up your phone when you wake up on the night, you’re training yourself to wake up.
Go to sleep listening to a meditation/h*pnosis.
I used to wake up and not be able to get back to sleep. I don’t remember the last time I did that. |

My body clock seems to be fixed in place these days, even weekends.
Cherry juice is good in the evenings and magnesium oil spray before bed. Relaxing with a book in bed usually has my dropping off quite quickly. |

Sleep is wonderful. Usually get 7-8 hours a night naturally. I can also nod off in the afternoons and have fallen asleep at work before. If I'm watching TV and it isn't holding my interest I'll nod off. |

I love my sleep, I've always been a 12 hr girl till I had kids. Nowadays that is a luxury! I usually get 8-9 when working but I'm at my best if I'm not disturbed by an alarm clock.
If I closed my eyes anytime of day I would fall asleep. |
