I dont understand the question. Dont we all put threads up to get a certaiin response., ie someone puts a football thread up so surely they would want responses about football and not whats for tea.
If i put a quiz up, would hope the response i get would be answers to the questions. Or do you mean threads just to wind people up? |

If I think a thread is heading off down a bit of a potentially nasty side track, or I detect the smell of bullying then I'll post to try and bring the thread back to the original intent. I don't generally post just to get a reaction (other than a laugh which is my favourite reaction)  |

No, nothing as sinister as that. I meant for example stating that you have had a tattoo or cosmetic surgery when you have not or that you are pregnant when you are not just to get responses and people chatting. Nothing to wind people up, merely really to get the conversation going... |

Yep, exactly I agree - if I detect bullying or some vitriole I would do same to get thread back and ditto re to raise a laugh! |
