How would you like to portray yourself in the forum?
How do you feel you come across in the forum?
Is your persona here a fair reflection on the real you, or just a persona?

I’m 100% me on the forums. I have no filter in real life.
I don’t hide my feelings.
Marmite - love me or hate me.
I don’t do the smoke blowing and find it completely cringy.

Inoffensive, a bit flirty with the odd crap joke that gets a pity laugh. I don't get drawn into serious discussions as this is just a bit of fun for me  |

Here, I’m me but certainly chattier. I am much quieter until you know me when offline.

I dont really have a Persona i guess. I try to come over as i am in real life.
I probably can be more blunt/dickish in text form though.

There's not really a set way I want to portray myself on the forums. Not a twunt but that's as far as it goes.
I think I come across as being of moderate intelligence, very talkative. Oh sometimes I can be a bit cutting. How I think I come across and how I do could be worlds apart though.
I don't see it as me having a persona on here, it's different facets of me depending on my mood at the time, what's going on around me etc. So yes, I guess it's the real me, although I do find myself biting my tongue more frequently than I would in "real life". |

Oh it's just one part of me ... but in reality not a part you meet often in real life! Real me noone could type and put online ... I'm way politer here and, really, only my serious thinking side comes through. That's a part that I have but rarely comes through hahahahahahahaha |

I don't have a persona. I'm just me.
If the last year has shown anything on here it's that some people really struggle to maintain a persona when people have been spending more time in this virtual world and have had the time to scrutinise a little more closely.

It depends on my mood but it's always authentic. Sometimes I'm in a jokey mood and that's what you will see from me for a while. Other times i am in a deeper mood and give more thought out replies. |

I'm not sure. I just start typing. Think after. Unless it's my post and I need answers. Then I'm more conscious of what comes up from under these fingers. |

never really considered how I 'planned' to come across, but when we did the "what do you think of me" thread last week the positives from a few people were inclusive, honest and up for a laugh.

Not so sure about forums, but online me is far different to real life me.
On here, I will say hello to a woman I find attractive and try my luck. In real life, I would admire from a distance and never make the approach.
Quite sad really as I am told I have nice eyes and lips, and a voice to die for - I just dont see it in myself. |

If I’m happy; I post happy, if I’m sad; I post sad, etc.
Perhaps I should filter myself more but I think that being honest in who I am is a positive thing.
I see no point in being a persona to please others or to be more palatable, if people don’t like me, then that’s fine |

I type less in real life and use less fish puns, I don’t try to shoe horn them into casual conversation just for the halibut, whereas here I slip them in without people noticing |

Not really considered it before, but I suppose I often come across on here as I do in real life - sometimes happy, sometimes sad, often down on myself, sometimes at odds with the prevailing mood, can't consciously flirt for shit, sometimes exasperated by what's going on, sometimes despairing of others, and occasionally in fun hoover mode where I can suck the humour out of the situation

I have absolutely no idea how I come across on the forum.
We are both caring and sensitive people in normal life, thoughtful and compassionate.
Mrs doesn't really post on the forum so anything you read is from the brain of Mr brain.
I overthink every thing and sometimes say more than I should.
But I believe in being honest and true to myself.
To this end not here to impress anyone or to get into anyone's knickers through sycophantic nonsense.
I'm both insecure and confident.
I tend to blend in the background always have. |

I probably come across very opinionated (which I am), but hopefully kind.
I'm exactly the same here as I am anywhere else. There's only one version of me. I don't put on an act or persona anywhere...too lazy to keep it up

I portray myself as I am, genuine, fair, open minded and will fight for the right reason.
I've no idea how I come across, but if anything like real life, away from social media.
Many people tell me I'm a real nice person.
I respond ....... No I'm not, I'm genuine.
If you think I'm nice, it's because I treat you with I'm the same way you treat others, with the same respect.
There are several that think I'm not so nice.
Same again.
My internet persona is pretty much me, though I find myself boring my tongue (or fingers) more online, but I suppose that's because we'll mix with those personality types we may not in our real life, where we have more choice.

I am more fiery on here (although....still a fiery woman when pissed off, but overall alot more chilled)
This is due to many things though, the main one being, I wouldnt surround myself in real life with some of the people on here or their way of thinking.
Much easier to stick to the fun loving....not fun draining...folk in the real world |
